How many among us did not suffer disappointments in their lives? Whatever they are, they are often numerous, and we must live with them. But does that mean it is inevitable? Do we, always, really have to experience disappointments along with the suffering associated with it? There is no doubt that we cannot avoid all of them but, nevertheless, we can greatly diminish the number of those which adversely affect our lives.
This paper is, in a sense, a good follow-up of the article "As the Birthpains of a Woman" I wrote. Actually it was in 2005 already when I had the opportunity to write a paper based on a study I made back in 1999 on the subject of "Seismos". Little did I know how reality would unfold what you will read here under.
Thinking or writing about prophecy has always been a challenge for anyone. It's one of those topics which causes a lot of debate, no matter what the subject is. Yet, the number of disasters which have happened this year 2011 is considerably high in comparison to the previous years. How many times this year did we not read quotes like "The worst disaster known in history", "It never happened before", 'it's the first time I see that in my life"? Even scientists are stunned by the number, size and intensity of those disasters. And logically so, seeing all of the catastrophic events happening these days, we often ask ourselves when this will come to an end, and what to expect for the future? We know that all of these disasters have been prophesied…. But do we have any biblical clue about the “intensity “of these events, or if anything has been said about it in the Scriptures?
Lately, my wife and I bought a book entitled "What To Expect... when you are expecting" (Simon & Schuster Ed.). Not only is it interesting to read for a future mom, but even for a man, and a future dad. A lot of information is shared there which are of real value. However, it's when I arrived to the section speaking about "Labour and Delivery" (p.378-396) that my brain made a 'U' turn back to one specific Bible verse, that I will mention shortly. Suddenly I had a glimpse of what is ahead of us in terms of the intensity of the catastrophic that has happened and will happen before Yahshua's Return. Yes, it was just a glimpse, but enough to know that things will even get worse, and not for the better, no matter what some scientists or leaders would say. What?
B - ook I - nspired B - y L - aws of E - lohim Why? B - eginning of I - ntelligence (Wisdom), B – lessings, L - ife E - ternal Submission is a subject that you don’t hear much about. It seems to be a politically incorrect term, especially in the context of marriage. Even in the context of a job, you won’t hear that employees have to submit to their boss, but rather that they have to be loyal to the company, which basically means the same thing.
The general feeling is that submission stands in the way of freedom, and as such it’s considered a bad thing. But is that a true statement? The word "vote" does not appear in the KJV. However, the words "choose" and "chosen" do appear in the KJV, in the context of choosing a king.
The first relevant passage is Deut. 17: 14-20: "When you come to the land which Yahweh your Elohim is giving you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say, 'I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,' you shall surely set a king over you whom Yahweh your Elohim chooses; one from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who is not your brother. [...]" (Please read verses 16-20 for yourself.) The Sabbath is probably the most visible difference between Yahweh’s true assembly and mainstream Christian churches. That's usually one of the first thing outsiders notice about us as a group – that we worship on Saturdays instead of on Sundays. It's a sign that we're different. That's exactly Yahweh’s intention.
Has Yahweh ever given instructions that can cause His creatures to suffer? Is Yahweh cruel? If He is an Elohim of love, why would He give laws that seem cruel?
This is a study on the law of retaliation, that is “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”. The first point I want to make is whether this law is to be taken literally, or that it means that a just financial compensation should be paid by the offender. |
